What the Hour Holds
Here Is What Happens in Your Discovery Visit.
A complete clinical evaluation — including the Revive Movement Screen™, a pelvic floor screen if needed, postural analysis, and a full conversation about what your body has been telling you.
An honest answer to what’s actually driving your symptoms — not generic advice, not “this is just getting older,” not vague reassurance. A real clinical picture.
Your personalized program plan, built in the room — using Dr. Dawn Andalon’s Pelvic & Core Reset™ Method. You’ll leave with a written action plan and know exactly what we’d address, how, and what your investment would be.

Why This Isn’t the PT You Tried Before
You’ve Probably Done Physical Therapy. This Is Not That.
Most women who come to us have been through it already — twice a week for six weeks, fifteen minutes with a person who changed every visit, some exercises on a printed sheet, and then the authorization ran out and that was the end of it. Nobody ever found out what was actually wrong.
Here you get a full hour, and the hour is a complete clinical evaluation — not an intake. We meet as a team about every client, so what we find goes into your plan and everyone working with you already knows your story.
Every specialist here is personally trained by Dr. Dawn Andalon, DPT, in the Pelvic & Core Reset™ Method. It’s the same method whether you’re here for physical therapy or therapeutic Pilates, which is why there’s no gap between resolving the symptom and getting strong again.
Doctor of Physical Therapy · More than two decades in women’s health · Author of four books · Creator of the Pelvic & Core Reset™ Method
What Happens Next
Here’s What Happens After You Submit.
01
You fill out the short form above
Tell us a little about what you’ve been experiencing. It takes less than 60 seconds.
02
We call you the same day
We’ll ask a few quick questions to understand what’s been going on, answer anything you want to know before you come in, and find a time that works for your schedule. Most women are seen within a few days.
03
You come in for your Discovery Visit
Sixty minutes, in person at our Encinitas studio, one-on-one with a women’s health specialist. You leave with a written action plan and a clear answer about what’s actually driving your symptoms.
Before We Schedule Anything
Not Everyone Who Calls Becomes a Client.
That’s why we call you before we book you. Some women need a different kind of care than we provide, and we’d rather tell you that on the phone than take your money and find out in week three.
If we’re a fit, we’ll find you a time. If we’re not, we’ll tell you honestly and point you toward the right care — whether that’s a different specialist, a different practice, or a different approach altogether.
You don’t need anyone’s permission to come in. You do deserve an honest answer about whether we’re the right people to help.
And when you pay directly, every decision gets made for one person — you. No insurance approvals. No session caps. No six-visit limit. If you’d like to talk about what the investment looks like before you come in, ask us on the call, or text us at (760) 301-5235.

Ann, 56 — Pelvic Floor / Back Pain
“I almost talked myself out of booking, but I’m so glad I didn’t — it was the easiest conversation I’ve had about my health in years. I left knowing exactly what to do next.”
★★★★★
Marcie, 54 — Hysterectomy Recovery
“I’d been told this was just what happens after a hysterectomy and I should get used to it. Nobody had ever examined me properly. In one visit I understood what was actually going on with my body for the first time in three years.”
★★★★★
Nancy, 61 — Back Pain / Pelvic Floor
“I’d done physical therapy twice before for the same thing, and both times it ended when the visits ran out, no better than when I started. Here they actually found what was causing it. Six months later I’m hiking again, and I don’t think about it.”
Questions You Might Have Before Your Discovery Visit
-
The Discovery Visit is priced as a flat rate and is separate from ongoing plans of care. Because every plan is built around what the evaluation actually finds, we walk you through all pricing options on your call and again at your visit.
And when you pay directly, every decision gets made for one person — you. No insurance approvals. No session caps. No six-visit limit.
Text or call us at (760) 301-5235 if you'd like a price before you come in.

It depends on what is going on and how quickly you want to get there, which is why we do not publish a number. What we can tell you is the range. On the physical therapy side, most women come one to three times a week. On the Pilates side it varies more — some women come once a week, and some come most days because they have made it part of their routine.
Where you land depends on what we find and what you are working toward. You will know your answer at your Discovery Visit, before you commit to anything.
-
That's completely fine — and you're never under any obligation to continue.
Honestly, most women who come in for a Discovery Visit do move forward with a plan of care. Not because we pressure them, but because by the end of 60 minutes they have a clear answer about what's actually going on. If that's you, great. If it's not, that's okay too.
Whatever you decide, nobody here will try to talk you out of it. We may check in — we'd rather know how you're doing than assume no news is good news, and if there's still something we can help with, we want the chance to say so. If you'd rather we didn't, tell us and we'll stop.
-
Yes — the Discovery Visit includes a complete clinical evaluation, which is part of what makes it different from a typical first visit. The specialist you're with will perform a pelvic floor screen (if needed), the Revive Movement Screen™, postural analysis, and any other assessments specific to your situation, so we can give you a real clinical picture of what's actually driving your symptoms.
This is also why your Discovery Visit is 60 minutes rather than a brief intake — we do the work properly in one visit, not stretched across multiple appointments.
If you have specific concerns about what to expect during the screen, just let us know when we call you. We'll walk you through everything ahead of time so you feel comfortable, prepared, and in control of what happens in the room. You're always the one who decides what feels right for your body.
-
That's exactly what the Discovery Visit is built for. Your Discovery Visit includes a complete clinical evaluation and a walk through your full history — and by the end of the visit, you'll have a clear, honest answer about whether we can help you.
We specialize in women's health conditions affecting women over 40 — including pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, back pain, sciatica, osteoporosis, hysterectomy recovery, and perimenopause and menopause-related symptoms. But we're not the right fit for every woman or every condition. If your situation isn't something we can address, we'll tell you honestly and point you toward the right care — whether that's a different specialist, a different practice, or a different approach altogether.
-
Absolutely — and we encourage it. Bringing your spouse or partner is often the difference between a decision you have to explain later and one you make together. Having them in the room means they hear the assessment, the plan, and the reasoning directly from our team.
You're welcome to bring anyone whose support matters to you. Just mention it when you submit the form so we can make sure there's a comfortable space for everyone.
-
Just come as you are. If you've been diagnosed with a specific condition, feel free to mention it on the form or when we call you — that helps us prepare — but it's not required. We'll call you before your visit to answer any questions and make sure you know what to expect.
-
Revive is a private-pay practice — we don't bill insurance or Medicare directly. Every decision we make is based entirely on what your body needs, not what a coverage plan will approve.
If you have a PPO plan, we provide a superbill you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. What comes back depends on your plan, so it's worth a quick call to your carrier.
Medicare does not cover the services we provide, so there is nothing for Medicare to reimburse. We do not provide superbills to Medicare beneficiaries, including Medicare Advantage plans.
If you have questions about fees, text or call us at (760) 301-5235 and we'll walk you through everything — no pressure, no surprises.
