Many women believe pelvic pain, bladder leaks, prolapse, or back pain are simply something they have to live with – and often do for a long time.

If you…
Thought it would go away on its own.
Tried kegels, but they didn’t help.
Were told by a doctor that surgery or medication might be my only option.
Thought this was all just part of getting older.
We’re here to tell you…
Pelvic floor issues don’t just go away, but they don’t have to persist.
Kegels aren’t always (usually aren’t) the answer to pelvic floor problems.
Surgery and medication aren’t the only ways for you to feel better.
This isn’t just “all part of getting older”.
It’s time to prioritize you and your pelvic floor rehabilitation.

Wondering if Orthopedic or Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy at Revive PT & Pilates is right for you?
In this short video, you’ll hear from Dr. Dawn Andaolon, our founder and pelvic floor specialist, so you can get a feel for what our women’s wellness studio is like — the space, the experience, and the kind of support you can expect from day one.
What is Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy?
Your pelvic floor is a complex group of muscles, ligaments, and tissues that support your pelvic organs, bladder, and core. When this system isn’t functioning properly, you may experience:
-
Incontinence or leaking
-
Pelvic organ prolapse
-
Pelvic pain or pressure
-
Painful intimacy
-
Postpartum or surgical recovery issues
-
Abdominal separation (diastasis recti)
-
Hip, back, or tailbone pain
-
Constipation or bowel dysfunction
Pelvic floor physical therapy identifies and treats the root cause of these symptoms — not just the surface problem. If you have any of these issues, we can help you.

Pelvic floor physical therapy is a specialized branch of physical therapy (PT) focused on the muscles, nerves, and connective tissues that support your bladder, uterus, and bowel. At Revive, we go beyond standard PT by addressing these deeper, often overlooked issues that affect intimacy, continence, posture, and confidence. And yes—it’s completely private, respectful, and tailored to your needs.
-
Absolutely. Many women are surprised by how much their core and pelvic floor are affected after a hysterectomy. We help you heal properly, reduce scar tissue restrictions, and safely rebuild your strength from the inside out — so you can return to daily life and movement without discomfort or fear.
-
No referral is needed! California is a direct-access state, which means you can schedule a physical therapy evaluation without waiting for an MD referral. We’ll work collaboratively with your healthcare providers if needed, but you’re in control of when and how your care begins.
-
Revive PT & Pilates is a private pay wellness center, which means we don’t bill insurance directly and have no relationship with Medicare. We are considered out-of-network with PPO plans for our physical therapy services. This allows us to provide longer, more thorough personalized sessions without the limitations of insurance networks. However, we’re happy to provide a superbill (coded receipt with instructions) that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
